Welcome one and all to the latest blog post in the Spotlight series. Here we shine a light on the shows that are fresh out of the cellophane, or are at least out of the blocks, and into their first season. Giving you a brief idea of what to expect when you plug in and hook up. If you’re looking for something to spice up your playlist, or looking to fill the gap between episodes on your favorite show, then hopefully something here will be to your taste. Enjoy.
From Koach Studios comes the long awaited Ancestry. An epic fantasy adventure tale of warriors and an ever looming evil. This has not been released in the form of a serial. If you only have a half hour commute, then you had better wait until you reach the comfort of your home before tuning in. This has been released as one entire story, and at just under two and a half hours long, you may want to set up a large soda and a bucket of popcorn to enjoy fully immersive audio drama.
From the creators of Ars Paradoxica, The Far Meridian tells the story of Peri, an agoraphobic woman whose home, a lighthouse, begins to appear in a different location every day. Peri who is searching for her brother, soon has to overcome her fears and step outside. With only two episodes out at the moment (June 18th 2017), I am chomping at the bit to hear more, and if you are a fan of Ars then I know you will be too.
Sat all alone in a sardine tin at the bottom of the ocean. What could go wrong!? How about a shipwreck almost crushing your underwater prison, er … I mean research facility. James was sent on a six month mission to conduct research at the bottom of the ocean, looks like there’s some more pressing issues to attend to first though.
